Course Proper

Markers 25M

Soft 7

After a month closed for annual maintenance the course proper re-opened for gallops this morning.

Time honours of the morning went to the Allan Sharrock pair I Don’t and Tudor Fisk, they ran a strong 1000M, the last 600M in 38.0.  Both are likely starters on their home track Saturday.

Stable mates Librasi and Boy were just as impressive over 1000M, home in 38.2.

From the Patterson Barn Our Jumala and Regal Dice galloped 1200M, the last 600 in 38.4.  Both were well held.

The Dutch Dame galloped 1000m with Freihaten Pfeil, the last 600 in 38.5.  Freihaten Pfeil went a great race for second last start.

Beaudz Well and Charmzafarm ran 800M, the last 600 in 39.2.  Both have had short layups.

Explosive Impact and El Jaycee worked evenly over 1000M, home in 39.0.  Both appeared keen to go faster.

From the Wheeler team, Lord Donovan and Jetalal galloped 1200M, the last 600 in 39.1.  When Lord Donovan gets a bit of luck he should be winning again in the near future.

O’Ceirans Dream and Ragamuffin were together over 1000M, the last 600 in 38.7.  Ragamuffin was impressive winning at Hawera last start.

Zeefa Zed and Lord Maverick ran an even 1200M, home in 41.9.  Zeefa Zed is nearly ready for his season hurdle debut.

Tokyo Hot Night and Wurihi galloped keenly over 1000m, the last 600 in 39.3.  Tokyo Hot Night shows potential.

The well performed Islington Lass and Sumi were well held over 1000M, home in 38.5.  They also appeared keen to go faster.

Tavi Anne and Tequila Spirit also ran 1000M, the last 600 in 39.0.  This was identical work to the Fearless One and Smug One who took 38.9 for the last 600.  Smug One is waiting for wetter tracks.

Keen on Bubbles and Tiger Lily ran an even 1400, the last 600 in 39.0.  This was good work.

Justaskme and Bridal Train were together over 1000M, home in 38.9.  Justaskme looks improved with his first up effort.

The track for this Saturdays Mediaworks Tradies Raceday should be in perfect order, in the soft 5-6 range.
