The horses are fresh and feeling that Spring is well and truly here.

Reasonably quiet morning on the course proper this morning with barrier practice tomorrow at Stratford and trials at Foxton today.

The Wheeler stable has taken a truckload to Foxton trials and Janelle Millar travelling Special Sakura and Final Reason to Ellerslie trials.

Time honours of the morning went to Bryce Revell trained Fancy Pants who galloped solo over 800M, the final 600 in 37.2.

The workout of the morning looked to be last start winner Jaegar who worked in company with Hi Yo Sass Bomb over 1400M, the last 600 in 37.6. Both looked very fit and well. Continuing from the Patterson Barn Oh Mai Mai and Thorax were solid over 1000M, home in 37.9. Belles Beau and Performer did similar work, the last 600 in 38.0. One Bold Cat and Meloni were well held over 1400M, Meloni looking the better of the two, last 600 in 38.1. Both will head to Trentham this Saturday. Unbounded and Roc All Night were the last recorded times for the stable, working over 1000M, home in 39.1.

The Sharrock stable was well represented this morning with best recorded time being the duo of Dee Vee Pee and Explosive Impact who looked good over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.4. Brigit worked solo over 800M, home in 38.2. Malachy and Ebony Bassett also worked alone both over 1000M, home in 38.9 and 38.6, respectively. Last start winner Ryders Legacy was well held over 1000M, home in 38.2. Breadwinner in company with Fleurs Star over 1200M, the last 600 in 38.9.

Cotton Roca timed over 600M, home in 37.8. From the same barn Stephen and Puddle of Mud were strong over 1000M, the last 600 in 38.1.

The last recorded times for the morning were for the Taffy Hina trained Dojakato (800M) and Kitzacat (1000M) the last 600 in 37.8 and 38.4, respectively.
