With jump outs at Stratford yesterday, the morning was reasonably quiet, still just under 30 galloping on the course proper, with some untimed gallops on the sand.

Time honours of the morning were shared between the the Sharrock trained duo of Eizus and Bridal Train (1200M) and the Janelle Millar trained Special Sakura(1000M). The last 600 in 36.9. Bridal Train looked to be on form and should have home track advantage in the Landmark Homes City of New Plymouth Cup on Saturday.

The Patterson pair of Ma Te Wa and Wild at Heart worked a strong 1000M, the last 600 in 37.0.

Herbert and Chester Boy back from a short spell worked strongly over 1000M, home in 37.1. Also from the Wheeler Stable, last start winner Piercing Arrow worked in company with Wy Worry over the same distance, the last 600 in 37.3.

King Jackal worked solo over 1000M and was strong to the line, the last 600M in 37.5.

Stablemates Fulla Grace and last start winner Tisse were well held over 1400M, the last 600m 37.5.
