With races this Saturday at New Plymouth trainers took the opportunity to gallop on the course proper prior to nominations.
Times were pretty smart, considering the cones were well out from the rail.
Time honours of the morning went the Janelle Millar trained Special Sakura, who working alone looked strong over 1100M, the last 600 in 36.2.
Truce and Sattriya were also looking good over 1000M, the last 600 in 36.5. From the same stable Madison and Kingsbrook Diva looked well over 1200M, the last 600 in 36.7. The Black Prince and King Jackal did similar work over 1000M, the last 600 in 36.9. Bridal Train and Belle Tribute look likely to start at New Plymouth on Saturday, going a strong 1000M, the last 600 in 37.0.
Fleur de Blues and Zafonic worked a solid 1000M, home in 36.7.
Final Return was strong this morning, working over 1600M, home in 37.2. Best of luck to connections for Saturday at Ellerslie.
