Trackwork Report New Plymouth

Tuesday 5th December 2023

Markers 23M

Track Soft

As expected the time honours of the morning went to Shamus and Sumi who galloped 1000M, the last 600 in 36.0.  They were the only gallop to break 37 seconds for the final section.

Maolla Miss and The Hottie had the pace on all the way over 1200M, the last 600 in 38.9, they were well held.

The Dutch Dame and Catherinenz ran 1000, home in 38.0.  Catherinenz makes its second start at New Plymouth on Thursday and appears to be working well.

So Solly and Persian Idol ran an even 1000M, quickening to take 37.5 for the last 600M.  Persian Idol appears improved with recent racing.

Tarazetto and Nom De Plume also sent 1000M home in 38.1.  Tarazetto was impressive last start and looks to have held its form.

Brazen Belle and Lazio were well held over 1000M, home in 38.9.  They are likely starters on their home track Thursday.

Transzed and another un-named Zed from the Wheeler stable ran 1000M, home in 37.3.  It was good work by un-raced horses.

Stout and Belles Fate weren’t after time as they prepared for Thursdays local meeting, running 1000M, home in 39.9.  From the Patterson barn they will have their supporters on raceday.

Conway O’Ceirin and Bellaonna Lily worked an even 1000M, the last 600 in 38.4, without too much effort.

The final gallops were all solo over 1000M with 600 times in brackets, Charm Zafarm (38.4), Zafaran (38.5) Sin Bin (38.9) Cactus Rose (38.3) Urenui (38.1) Beaudzwell (38.8).

Beaudzwell ran a bottler first up for the Harris stable and looks a solid chance on Thursday.

Brought to you by Christmas @ the Races, Thursday 7th December, 2023.
