With jumpouts this morning at Hawera, and restricted gallops on the course proper it was a quiet morning trackside.

Time honours this morning on a very heavy track went to the Allan Sharrock trained duo of Ladies Man and Tisse who worked over 1200M, the last 600 in 38.7. From the same stable Swingitourway in company with Indian Gold galloped over the same distance, the last 600 in 38.9. Breadwinner and King Jackal did similar work over 1000M, home in 39.4.

From the Patterson Stable Freebelle worked in company with the Tony Corric trained Smart Road, a solid 1200M home in 40.0.

The other four to gallop all worked solo, 600 times in brackets;
