Life Education Trust Apprentice Day Summary
June 11, 2021

It was a very successful Life Eduction Trust Apprencitce Race Day at New Plymouth on Thursday.

The Life Education Trust is all about helping to teach children to make the right choices as they go through their lives, and Apprentice Challenge winner (smiley) Joe Kamaruddin obviously got plenty right when winning three races and placing second in another, from his card of six races.

This made him the clear winner of the competition, taking out a $1000 prize purse. Local apprentice, Hazel Schofer, was second with a win, a second, and third from her races, collecting $300 prize money. Whilst Diego Montes de Oca, another local apprentice, didn't win a race his three placings were enough to secure the $200 third prize.

Taranaki Racing have plans to grow this race day and are in discussions with NZTR about to how this.
