Jubilee Celebrations:
The 125th Jubilee celebrations promise to be a grand affair, bringing together racing aficionados, industry stakeholders, and the broader community to commemorate this remarkable journey at our Jubilee raceday on Friday 16th February at New Plymouth Raceway.
The festivities are set to include a series of special guest speakers, showcasing the rich history of Taranaki Racing Inc, honoring legendary horses and jockeys, and highlighting the organization's role in shaping the racing culture in New Zealand.
As part of our celebrations on Raceday we will be holding the inaugural Male vs. Female Jockey Challenge.
Horse Racing, whether as a jockey or trainer is the only sport where gender is a level playing field. Statistics confirm that gender has no influence on the performance of a racehorse. On Friday 16th February, 2024 we will be putting the 2022 findings of the University of Nottingham study to the test.
Jockeys from throughout New Zealand will be competing as individuals and teams with the aim of raising a significant amount of money for Breast and Prostate Cancer.

New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing have confirmed as part of their support they will be providing additional funding with the stakes for all races to be $22,500 per race.
