With local races on Friday, it was a busy morning.

From the Adams team Keen To Run and Shelby worked attractively over 1200m, the last 600 in 37.4. They will be sound chances on Friday.

Lady Rudolph was paired with The Hottie over 1200m, the last 600m in 37.9. They are likely to head to Riccarton, and will be very competitive.

From the Millar barn La Strata and Shezabelter worked 1000m, the last 600 in 37.2. Stablemates, Drop The Beat and Ginger Snapz, did identical work, home slightly faster in 37.1 seconds. All worked well.

Winkle Bay, after a short let up, was paired with an unnamed Complacent, in the Paterson stable. They ran an even 1000m, the last 600m in 38.5. Winkle Bay will win a maiden soon.

Sir Caleb and Puntura ran a strong 1200m, the last 600m in 38.9. Puntura continues to thrive.

Sumi and Allambra Lad were locked together over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.4. Sumi does show promise.

From the Wheeler team, Wicklow and the Big Boss worked 1400m, the last 600m in 38.4. Stablemates Chief Sequoia and Castle On The Hill did similar work, slightly faster the last 600 in 38.2.

Pinz and Nogolf Etikit worked over 1200m, the last 600 in 38.1. Nogolf Etikit is being readied for a jumping career.

Stablemates Redgum and Irish Flare did similar work, the last 600m in a quicker 37.5. It was a strong gallop up the straight.

The last gallops were all solo over 1000m, or 1200, with the 600m times in brackets. Herewego (37.6), Meila Rei (38.2), Malo Bik (37.6), Reliable Miss (38.4), Wattabreeze (37.0), Power Of The Kitty (39.9), Ballina (38.7), Wine N Dine (38.6).

In particular, Herewego and Wattabreeze stretched out nicely, ready to race locally on Friday.
