Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Time honours of the morning went to the 2YO’s Yea Boi and Catsacharmer who galloped 1000m, the last 600m in 40.6. Whilst Yea Boi was marginally in front, both are a strong chance on Saturday in the Ryder Stakes.

Tavi Mac continued his prep when galloping 1000m with Butler, the last 600m in 41.2. Tavi Mac was cruising.

Ekstremiss galloped a solo 1200m, the last 600 in a steady 43.2.

Collinstreet galloped 1200m, with Secret Squirrel, the last 600m in 42.6. Secret Squirrel went an improved race on Saturday.

Stablemates Meila Rei and Hot Shockolate galloped 1000m, home in 42.8, whilst the last gallop on the grass solo was Spanish Harlem, who recorded 42.6 for the last 600m, and appeared to gallop well.

A large team from the Wheeler stables all galloped on the sand.

Redgum and Irish Flare galloped a strong 1200m, the last 600 in 38.2.

Beaudzwell, who is coming to hand well, galloped a quiet round with Remarx before sprinting 1000m, the last 600m in 39.1. Remarx goes to Manawatu for a hurdle race on Thursday.

The Big Boss and Mr Enthusiastic galloped two rounds before sprinting 800m, covering the last 600m in 39.2.

Hurdler Chief Sequoia galloped 1600m, the last 600 in 38.8. He pulled too hard in the Hawkes Bay Hurdles and is all set to travel to Christchurch for the Grand National.

Pinsk galloped with Songsungblu 1000m, the last 600m in 38.4. Songsungblu looks strong after a long break.
