TUESDAY TRACKWORK NEW PLYMOUTH – 19th July 2022

Track Heavy

After a hiatus of four weeks, the New Plymouth track was back in action for Trackwork leading up to the Powerworx Opunake Cup race day this Saturday.

On a heavy track Justaskme and Arincina strode over 1200m, the last 600 in 38.6.  It was strong work and Justaskme is in mint condition to try and repeat his last years Cup victory.

Rival and stable mate Darci La Bella and Butler ran 100m, home in 38.0.  Darci La Bella gives Allan Sharrock a strong second chance in the Cup.

Bendermerry and The Dutch Dame ran an even 1000m the last 600 in 41.2.  Both have good chances on Saturday.

ZeefaZed and The Big Boss ran 1400m, the last 600m in 41.5.  ZeefaZed has been disappointing but is too good to disregards his chances Saturday.  Beaudzwell ran 1200m with Lord Donavan who is now in the Wheeler barn.  They took 41.8 for the final 600m and worked strongly.

Suntribute and Looxlikeapro ran an even 1000m sprinting the last 600 in 40.9.  It was good work.

Cherry Rose and Stevie Nyxx ran 1000m speeding up to run 40.5 for the last 600.  Both may start Saturday.

The final two gallops were solo over 1000m with 600 times in brackets, Tequila Spirit (39.4) and Cya Maria (40.9).  Both galloped strongly.
