The course proper was restricted to horses intending to race at Egmont Racing Club on Sunday.
With a very heavy slow track this morning Grit and Lazio from the Sharrock Barn worked a solid 1000M, the last 600 in 40.6.
Fleming and Boy did similar work, home in 41.0 as did Naki Lad and Librero in 41.5.
From the Patterson Barn Ballroom Blitz and The Cartel galloped over 1000M, the last 600 in 42.0.
Lord Donovan partnered with Jordan Rogans’ Bubalina over 1200M , the last 600 in 43.2. Lord Donovan will continue with his preparation and not start at Hawera on Sunday.
Puntura continues with his preparation and worked solo over 1000M, home in 43.4.
Lastly congratulations to local trainer Allan Sharrock for 1000 New Zealand trained winners.
