Following a successful AGFIRST Engineering Opunake Cup last Saturday for local trainers, the track has been tapped back in preparation for our next feature meeting in August.

Time honours of the morning went to the Allan Sharrock pair of Brigit and Librero, working a solid 1000M, the last 600 in 38.6.

Tisse galloped in company with Dress’ Par Jolie over 1600M, home in 39.4. Both horses have been working well and all going to plan will be in the winners’ circle on race day.

Ena Sharples and Zashudo were well held over 1200M, the last 600 in 39.2. They should both put on a good show raceday too and I’d expect them to feature in the money.

De Vee Pee galloped over 1600M, picking up Bridie at the 1200 mark, the last 600M in 40.0.

Undertheboardwalk and Belles Boom from the Patterson stable worked a solid 1000M, the last 600 in 39.9.

Urenui, unfortunately late scratched from his home track meeting is looking well and should be featuring. Good effort over 1000M, home in 39.8.

John Wheeler had a couple at the track this morning. Epee Beel galloped in company with Chester Boy over 1200M, the last 600 in 39.4. Stablemates Fleur de Champ and Keen on Bubbles did the same work, home in 40.4. The jumpers will look to head to Te Aroha on Sunday.

The Millar stable pair of Skattebo and Azezam worked a quiet 1000M, the last 600 in 40.3.
