A record 90 horses took advantage of the perfect track to gallop this morning.

Time honours of the morning went to Lazio and Tavattack who strode over 1000M, the last 600 in 35.0.  It was a great gallop.

This time was equalled by stablemates Ladies Man and Islington Lass, who also impressed.

Lord Donovan and Herbert galloped a solid 1000, home in 35.3.  Herbert is likely to return to Te Rapa on Monday, where he won well last start.

From the Millar tesm, Testify Me and Final Return ran 1000, the last 600 in 36.0.  Testify Me looks to have some through his first run well and should be in for a great season.

Librero and I Don’t were well held over 1000M, the last 600 in 35.8.

Jetalal and Kayes Reube wre together over 1000M, home in 35.8.  Both will be competitive on their home track on Friday.

Quality staying mare Mary Louise and Ravenna Rose ran 1000M, the last 600 in 36.4.  Mary Louise looks to be improving.

Trazed and Black Beatty were together over a strong 1600M, the last 600 in 36.7.  Both are emerging stayers who will be competitive over the weekend.  Black Betty was extremely unlucky at her last start.

Street Gossip and Malachy were together over 1000M, the last 600 in a quick 35.5.

The Hottie and Its Doris were well held running 1000M, the last 600 in 36.4.  The Hottie was super impressive.

Grit, who may start on Friday at New Plymouth ran 1000M alongside Derryman, the last 600 in 35.8.

Of the many to gallop 1000M solo gallops by Liquid Les and Swingit Ourway of 35.0 and 35.8 respectively were especially solid.
