Time honours of the morning went to Sumi and Ladies Man who strode over 1000m, the last 600m in 36.9. both worked very attractively.
Testify Me and Leavethelightson also ran a strong 1000m, home in 37.0. It was pleasing work.
Herbert had the measure of Transzed over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.2. Herbert is close to a win and may go to Te Rapa next week.
Catherinenz and Tarazetto were together over 1000, home in 38.0. They were well held.
Lord Donovan and Zivjelli ran 800m, the last 600 in 37.8. Lord Donovan is ready to resume after a brief let up – (after his Riccarton heroics).
The Fearless One and Shameless Boy ran 1000, the last 600 in 38.6, well held.
Boy and Explosive Impact ran 1000, the last 600 in 37.5. They looked to be travelling easily.
Oso Savvy and Go You Good Thing ran 1400 quickening to run the last 600 in 38.6.
Sin Bin and Hi Yo Sass Bomb ran an even 1000, home in 37.9. Hi Yo Sass Bomb continues to please.
Black Betty and Tsunami were paired over 1000, the last 600 in 38.0. Black Betty is improving.
Tudor Fisk and Brazen Belle ran 800m, the last 600 in 37.8, whilst stable mates Tshiebwe and Malachy ran 1200m, home in 38.0
The final gallops were all solo over 1000m, with 600m times in brackets:
Shamus (38.0), Tanzanite Rose (38.1), Hilary Banks (38.3), Za Spirit (37.1).
It was great work by Za Spirit, who showed real dash.
