Following 16mls of rain over night, the track was Heavy.
With races at Hawera on Saturday, followed by 18 heats of jump outs there on Monday, only four horses galloped this morning.
Beaudzwell and Lorde Have Mercy galloped a round speeding up from the 1200m, the last 600m in 40.7. Beaudzwell looked improved after his first up run as he prepares for a New Zealand Cup tilt.
Littlehoovesgotmooves galloped 1000m, home in 42.9. He was well held.
The final gallop was Spanish Harlem who ran 1200m, the last 600m in 41.3. Spanish Harlem is ready to win a Maiden soon.
