With a heavy dew last night and gallop track on the outer of the course proper – some very respectable times this morning.
Time honours of the morning went to the Allan Sharrock trained duo of Madison and Hopingforabeauty, going a strong 1000M, the last 600 in 36.5. Doing similar work and returning a time of 36.6 for the last 600 were stablemates Tisse and Eizus. Ebony Bassett and Hidden spark also worked 0ver 800M, home in 37.5.
Kitzakat worked solo over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.1. Connections will be hoping for rain to start at Whanganui this weekend.
From the Patterson Barn Roc All Night and Yaldi Time galloped a solid 1000M, home in 37.2. Belles Boom and The Dirty Dee did similar work, the last 600 in 37.4. Under the Boardwalk and One Bold Floozie also worked over 1000M, home in 38.0. Sin Bin worked solo over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.8.
The Millar Barn continues to produce some nice young horses, Timemakesthe wine and Rocafilly were solid over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.2. Ice Skater and Condensed Milk did similar work, home in 39.0.
Urenui worked a strong 1000M, home in 37.4.
Tor Men Tor scratched at his home track, galloped over 1000M, the last 600 in 38.1. Nodoubtaboutit rolled along over 800M, the last 600 in 40.0. PuddleofMud worked similarly over 1000M, the last 600 in 39.1.
Last to be timed on the course proper this morning, were the John Wheeler trained Keen on Bubbles and Black Betty, galloping over 1200M, the last 600 in 38.0. Epee Beel & Sir Maverick did a similar time over 1000m as did Red Ned and Fleur de Champ.
