With racing at New Plymouth this Saturday, featuring the Denis Wheeler Earthmoving Taranaki Cup and Grangewilliam Stud Oaks Prelude, it was a busy morning on course.
Time honours of the morning went to the John Wheeler trained duo Black Betty and last start winner Herbert, working a solid 1200M, the last 600 in 36.7. Kays Ruebe worked in company with Tranzed over 1200M, home in 38.0.
From the Patterson barn Belladonna Lily and Catherinez looked impressive over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.8.  The impressive filly Leica Lucy and Last Souvenir were well held over 1000M, the last 1000M in 38.8.  Sin Bin will look to start at his home track on Saturday, working solo over 1000M in a very respectable 37.8.
Last start winner Tokyo Hot Night and Sidepiece galloped over 1000M, the last 600 in 36.8.  Sidepiece looks to start on Saturday at New Plymouth.
Not to be outdone in the winner’s circle Tor Ment Or and Cotton Roca looked well over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.8.  Tor Ment Or will back up at New Plymouth on Saturday.
Promising mare Loch In Ora and Ladies Man looked on track for their next race, working  a solid 1200M, the last 600 in 36.8.  Loch In Ora looks a strong prospect for the Taranaki Cup.
Truce and Belle Tribute looked well over 1000M, the last 600 in 38.8.
Also from the Sharrock team Sindee and Brigit were well held over 1000M, the last 600 in 37.0.

Malachy worked in company with Dresse Par Jolie over 1600M, home in a respectable 37.3.
