Course Proper                   Markers 24m                     Track:    Slow

After overnight rain, the track was well and truly in the soft range.

Leading New Plymouth hopes for Ellerslie on Saturday, Ladies Man and Waisake galloped a strong 1400m, the last 600 in 38.1. Ladies Man is a strong contender, whilst Waisake will love the 3200 distance Saturday.

Testify Me and Leave The Light On impressed, running 1000m, home in 38.9

The Underbelly and Nom De Plume ran 1400, the last 600m in 41.0. Both are very fit for Trentham in a fortnight.

One Bold Cat and Puntura ran 1200m, the last 600m in 41.4. One Bold Cat was relishing the conditions. Sin Bin and The Fearless One ran 1200m, the last 600 in 40.7  Both could also go to Trentham.

Contribute and The Dutch Dame ran 1000m, home in 38.8. Contribute was very unlucky in the Matamata cup.

Bridal Train and Smartroad ran an even 1000, home in 39.9. They were well held.

The Chopper and Bow Hill also ran 1000, the last 600 in 39.1. The Chopper looked very strong.

Sumi and Islington Lass ran 1200m, the last 600m in 38.5. Sumi ran a great race last start and is close to another win.

The fnal gallops were all solo over 1000 with 600m in brackets:

Tavianne (38.6), Loch In Ora (40.9), Tokyo Hot Night (39.8), Tanzanite Rose (39.9), Terra Pretta (37.3).

Obviously Terra Pretta galloped impressively.
