Course Proper. Markers 16m. Track Heavy

After significant rain in the past week the track was heavy and testing.

Total Sass and Barocca worked strongly over 1000m, the last 600m in 42.8. They appeared adept in the conditions.

Pure Incanto and Smarty Pants ran one of the quicker gallops over 1000m, home in 42.1.

Time honours of the morning went to the classy galloper London Express, who ran 1000m, with Collinstreet, the last 600 in 39.9. London Express will be very hard to beat next up if track conditions suit.

Reliable Miss ran 1600m picking up Lost Boyz at the 800m, the final 600 in 42.3. Reliable Miss was strong all the way.

Skyroca ran 1000m in company with Nun Hissing, the last 600m in 43.0.

Shezabelter and Ginger Snapz did similar work, home slightly quicker in 42.4, whilst Legally Blonde and Spanish Harlem did identical work, home in 43.2.

Elegant Charm and an unnamed Falkirk in the Millar barn ran 800m, the last 600 in 43.1. The Falkirk is nearly ready to race.

Dame Vera and an unnamed Redwood in the Patterson barn ran 1000m, the last 600 in 43.4. Stable star, Coventina Bay, leaves for Brisbane Thursday, hoping to make the Stradbroke field.

Meila Rei and Hot Chocolate sprinted 600m in 43.5, Meila Rei ran a good race first up and looks improved.

From the Patterson barn Our Fair Trade and Double Up ran 1000m, the last 600 in 42.8. It was a sound gallop.

The large Wheeler team all pace worked a lap before galloping on the sand.

The fastest last 600m was recorded by Zeefa Zed and Remarx (40.1), after a 800m gallop.

Tsunami and Mr Enthusiastic (42.0) as well as Wicklow and Chief Sequoia (42.8) worked over 1600m, whilst Sweet Karm and Castle On The Hill (41.7), worked over 1200m. Wicklow was travelling extremely strongly.

The final gallop on the sand was Ballina and Pinsk (41.3), over 1400m. Pinsk was massive at Wanganui but is not a renown track worker.
